This year we will be joined by the former heavyweight boxer Tony Bellew, former Liverpool and England footballer John Barnes MBE and Nigel Owens MBE for what promises to be a fantastic afternoon of festive fun.
Hosted by the charismatic Scott Quinnell, the lunch will be held at one of Cardiff’s finest hotels, The Parkgate on Friday 11th December 2026.
Tony Bellew is one of Britain’s greatest boxers in recent times. The Liverpudlian greatest moment came with a stunning KO beating the unbeaten Ilunga Makabu at his beloved Goodison park. Outside of boxing Tony starred opposite Sylvester Stallone in the 2015 film Creed, and also starred in the 23rd series of ‘I’m a Celebrity’ – ultimately finishing as runner-up.
Former England and Liverpool footballer John Barnes changed the face of football during the 1980’s. He went on to win 79 caps for England, including an incredible goal against Brazil in 1984. At his peak, Barnes was the classic flying winger, blessed with pace, trickery and an eye for goal that made him a huge icon at Anfield.
Nigel Owens, MBE is one of the most engaging and humorous characters in the game of Rugby Union, gaining an international following of fans and admirers with his charm, wit and fairness. He is the only referee to be appointed to three consecutive Heineken Cup finals, and forever will be renowned and admired for displaying a dry sense of humour when dealing with players during the heat of battle. Other highlights include refereeing the 2015 Rugby World Cup Final at Twickenham.
Off the field, Nigel has proven himself to be an inspirational figure with his championing of diversity and mental health.
The festivities will commence at 12:30pm and will include live entertainment, a traditional three-course Christmas lunch, charitable raffle and auction (live and silent) which includes a fantastic array of events, hospitality, experiences and memorabilia. The dress code is smart casual.
Tables of 10 are available from £1,750+VAT. We also have a limited number of Platinum tables available from £2,250+VAT. You will receive a selection of fine wine along with prime location seating for the main event.
