With the prestigious Tour de France coming to Wales in 2027, we are delighted to offer you the opportunity to join us at our “Vive Le Tour” Dinner with Geraint Thomas OBE. This exclusive one-off dinner will be held at The Vale Resort, Hensol on Thursday 26th November, 2026.
Geraint Thomas OBE is one of the few riders of the modern era to achieve significant elite success as both a track and road rider.
On the track, he won three World Championships (2007, 2008 & 2012), and two Olympic gold medals (2008 & 2012), while on the road he won Paris-Nice (2016), Critérium du Dauphiné (2018), Tour de Romandie (2021), Tour de Suisse (2022) and most notably the 2018 Tour de France becoming the first Welshman and third British rider to win it.
In the same year he won the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award, becoming the first Welshman to win the award since Ryan Giggs in 2009.
Thomas won the first stage of the 2017 Tour de France, an individual time trial, to become the first Welshman to wear the Tour’s famous yellow jersey – le maillot jaune.
In 2019, he confirmed his Grand Tour pedigree when he reached the podium again, having finished runner-up in the Tour de France behind Team Ineos teammate Egan Bernal. In 2022, Thomas became the first Welshman to win the Tour de Suisse and later that year recorded another podium finish at the Tour de France, placing third.
The evening will commence at 7pm and will include a Hensol Castle sponsored drinks reception, a three-course dinner, charitable raffle and auction (live and silent) which includes a fantastic array of events, hospitality, experiences and memorabilia.
Tables of 10 are available from £1,250+VAT. A quantity of individual covers on shared tables of 10 are also available from just £125+VAT per person. Platinum tables are also available from £1,750+VAT. You will receive a selection of fine wine along with prime location seating for the main event.
